signed, sealed, not quite delivered

I've entered the land of no return!! ha, no I'm just joking. I'm excited that I FINALLY submitted my application to take my CT boards. It will probably take a few weeks to hear back from the ARRT. They have to run background checks and that kind of thing in order to allow to schedule an appointment to take the test.

Once I get the letter back from them then I can schedule an actual date to take the exam. Then I can start studying! ;o)

I'll be glad to get it out of the way though. It has been this little black cloud hanging over my head for about the last 6 months roughly.

Once I pass and get my CT registry I'll also get roughly a 5% raise which I am also happy about!! Every little bit counts.

It came early this year

Thanksgiving, fall, autumn, harvest, and any and all other things having to do with the fall season is gone, and Christmas is up! The sad part is it's not even Thanksgiving yet.

We desperately need to get a new tree, but as you all know that I am trying to SAVE money. I'm doing pretty dang good and am impressed at my self control. So, I think a new Christmas tree is not on the list of priorities right now. I don't really want to buy a new tree. There is nothing fun in that at all, but if you buy a nice Christmas tree you could easily have it 10-15 years. A good artificial tree, depending on the size and quality, can cost you over 300$. I can think of a ton of things better to spend that money on right now, other than a Xmas tree. Maybe we'll grab one at an after Christmas clearance if they are super cheap. Otherwise, it will have to wait until next year. That wouldn't be so bad either because by then we will be in our house and will be able to better judge the 'perfect' tree for our house.woopwoop :o)

Turkey Day came early

Nana and papa are leaving for 8 days in Hawaii tomorrow. Since they will be gone on Thanksgiving, we took full advantage and had an early, small family gathering at our house on Tuesday. We had the full feast of course, so now our fridge is packed with left overs. I meant to grab some pictures and I got some early AM, but didnt get any of the whole group...lame!! I need to be better about it. Anyways, we had some awesome food and are THANKFUL that we were able to spend some quality time with them before they left.

I also get the self induced pleasure of working 16 hours on Thanksgiving. Nothing else to do, so might as well work! :o) Hey, at time and a half it's all worth it!

The Challenge is ON!

Jason has extended a challenge to me, and I am up to it!! He's goingdown to China town baby!!!

I am HORRIBLE with money. I shop and shop and shop till i drop. I can go to the grocery store for a gallon of milk and come back 100 bucks later and still not have the milk.

So, the challenge is this: to stop spending money! ha!

I have one month to not buy any unnecessary junk. If I go to the grocery store, I buy only the groceries I need. There will be no Old Navy visits, mall visits, or any other visits to any store that I dont NEED to go to.

I know I can do it....I hope I can do it..... :oP

ring ring....hello

YES!!!! New phones are on the way!! I am so excited! we are both so ready for new phones we can hardly stand it. So, i'm gonna let you all be excited with me and let you in on our newest attachments to the side of our faces!

Jason's newest love:
the MOTOROLA DROID

this thing is a beast. it is insane, there are too many features and apps to even begin to mention, but it is totally a sick phone.

while I like the droid, I have absolutely no intention of getting a phone that I have no use for 99% of it. I want a decent camera and Qwerty keyboard, and something that is a reasonable size. I dont want a micro phone nor do I want a block. So I decided on the samsung rogue!

megs newest baby:

this little puupy got some awesome reviews so I hope I like it as much as everyone else does!!
