ahhh.....

Well as you all know, we went out last night to celebrate our 7th anniversary. It isn't officially until Sunday, but since I have to work.....

We started the evening off at Mona Lisa. It is a wonderful little fondue restaurant in Nampa. Melting Pot doesn't hold a candle to it, ha, no pun intended! Anyways, it is absolutely wonderful, and the decor is out of this world, very intimate and romantic. We enjoyed a four course meal consisting of salad, a wonderful fresh baked sourdough bread and a Mona Sauce. I'm not exactly sure what the Mona sauce is, but it is super good. Then we had a "New World" cheese fondue, a sharp cheddar and Swiss mixed in a tangy beer broth. It was served with chunks of various breads, fresh vegetables, and grapes and apples. It was to die for! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Then comes the entree. Fillet Mignon, Teriyaki rib eye, lemon herb chicken Brest, cajun alligator bratwurst, and shrimp. All served with a variety of dipping sauces, Swiss rosemary potatoes, thick slabs of mozzarella cheese, more bread and a sweet gherkin pickle to cleanse the palate. A personal grill is placed on your table for you to grill your own meats. A plate of vegetables is also provided for your grilling pleasure! Then dessert. Ahh dessert. We chose milk chocolate for our dessert course. Then the plate of goodies included strawberries, marshmallows, pound cake, coconut macaroon, ladyfingers, pretzels and various other pastries and cookies. There were also two little cups, one with shredded coconut and one with crushed peanuts. Dessert, like the rest of the meal, was amazing.

We went to the Mona Lisa for our fifth anniversary a few years ago when I was about to pop with Zoe. while we were there we did the "Message in a Bottle" service, which is where they give you a wine bottle and two pieces of paper. You each write a letter to the other, then you wrap them up and put them in the wine bottle. You come back on your next anniversary, or in our case, two, and open your bottle and read your notes. It was so sweet to be able to read something from that long ago. So much has changed since then, we have come so far. :)

After dinner we went the the Anniversary Inn. Jason had rented the Carriage Suite and it was amazing. It was an old English type setting with a carriage as the bed. The bath tub was a wonderful corner jetted jacuzzi with a spouting lions head as the shower. Bath robes, bubbles, chilled sparkling cider, and two pieces of cheesecake come with the room complimentary. We added on the movie pack which includes two dvd rentals, two theater sized candy choices, 2 20oz coke products, and fresh popped popcorn. We rented Traffic. It was a pretty good movie.
This morning breakfast was delivered hot to our door. It included apple juice, OJ, coffee, cinnamon roll, danish, and yogurt with granola and fresh fruit.
We had an absolutely amazing evening.!!!

Prince Charming

Jason and I will celebrate our 7th anniversary on Sunday, February 7th. It is unbelievable that seven years have flown by so fast. We barely blinked our eyes and they were gone. When looking back though, we realized what we have accomplished and been through together. We have a bond between the two of us that can not be described with words. Together, we have been to rock bottom and back to the top, and every bump, bruise, laugh, memory, and everything else in between! But, we have made it, and look forward to 7 more years of adventures, and then seven more after that......

As you noticed it is our 'golden' anniversary, and we kicked the festivities off early on Monday with a nice lunch together at the Olive Garden. Then we headed off to the mall. I wanted to look at some jeans at Paradigm and Jason needed a couple pairs of jeans as well, so we went over to the buckle and grabbed those.

Yesterday, Jason surprised me by having my mom come pick up the girls for the next three days. I will have three full days of complete uninterrupted MEAGAN time!! WOOP! Jason will be at school the majority of Tue-Th, so I get to do whatever I want....no babies, no husband, nada.....pure bliss! :) We took full advantage of that by going out and grabbing some dinner and then heading to the movies. We saw Avatar at the IMAX...it was DOPE! insanely crazy....we both really like it.

Tonight is when we are going to actually celebrate "the day" :D, and I'm not sure what all Jason has planned, but I'm sure it is bound to be amazing!

I will update y'all tomorrow!!

Julie & Julia

We watched this movie the other night and it was awesome. It's about blogging and cooking, two of my favorite things, so it had major points to begin with, but then top if off with two over lapping true stories, I was hooked.

Ebonics 101

Bella and I were hanging out together the other day, and I either coughed or sneezed, I can't remember. Anyways, she looks at me and clear as day says,
"are you O-KIZ-AY mom?"

o-kiz-ay???????

I burst out laughin' and ask her where she learned that.

Apparently Marty on Madagascar says it, but I was shocked, I was like no way!!!! I can't believe she's talking like this. Pretty soon she's gonna start inviting her 'homies' over to the 'crib' to 'kick it'.

ha :0)

Welcome Home

We are getting ready to head to the airport to pick up Jason. I figured that since we have been granted another gorgeous day outside, that we should do something fun. I think we could all use something fun after the past few weeks. So, we'll pick daddy up, run over to Cobby's (my fave!) for a few sammies, then hit up the zoo. All the animals should be out and about since the weather is so nice!

Spring Cleaning!

It is such a beautiful day outside!!! I decided that I would take full advantage of my day while Jason is in Austin and Bella is in school, so I rented a heavy duty steam cleaner and am steam cleaning all the rooms. Totally not a fun way to spend the day, but the carpets are looking AWESOME!
